The Company's history dates from 1911 with the formation of the Patent Lightning Crusher Company Limited in London to produce and sell the original crusher models for use in public utility sites.
From 1918 production was sub-contracted to a Company in Halstead which subsequently became W A. Hunwick Limited who were taken over in 1978 by PATENT LIGHTNING CRUSHERS Co. LTD., leading to the consolidation of all operations on the present site in 1981 when the existing trading style was established.
Today PLC Hunwick Limited continues to manufacture and sell the Lightning Crusher range and maintains an active fabrication business servicing the water treatment, petro-chemical and offshore industries.
